VCU graduation sessions can feel energetic, urban, personal, and very Richmond. The campus gives us a mix of classic academic portraits, city sidewalks, brick textures, public art, green spaces, and meaningful buildings tied to each graduate's experience. That variety makes it easy to create a gallery that feels polished but still specific to the student.
For cap-and-gown portraits, VCU works well for individual graduates, friend groups, family portraits after commencement, and quick sessions before graduation events. We can keep the session focused around the Monroe Park Campus, build in favorite campus landmarks, or make the gallery feel more downtown and editorial depending on the graduate's personality.
All majors and programs are welcome. Whether the session is for a bachelor's, master's, doctorate, professional program, or a family celebration around graduation weekend, the goal is to make the portraits feel celebratory, confident, and connected to this season of life in Richmond.
Parking
Parking depends on the exact campus area and timing. Plan extra time for decks, street parking, and walking between VCU photo spots.
Permits & Access
VCU is an active urban campus, so sessions should stay respectful of students, events, buildings, and campus operations. Some indoor or restricted spaces may require permission.
