Essential Portrait Session

The booking fee/deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances: 30% of the total for standard sessions, 50% for weddings and elopements. It reserves your date on my calendar and retains my services for it, and that date is turned away from other clients from the moment you book it. Beyond the deposit, for standard sessions all other payments may be refunded if cancellation occurs more than 7 days before the scheduled session, minus any non-recoverable expenses already incurred. For weddings and elopements, installment payments may be refunded if cancellation occurs more than 30 days before the event date, minus any non-recoverable expenses. No refund beyond that is issued for cancellations within 7 days of a standard session or within 30 days of a wedding or elopement.

For standard sessions, you can expect to receive your fully edited photos within 2-3 weeks after the photography session. For weddings, the delivery timeline is 6-8 weeks. This timeline represents our standard delivery schedule but may extend due to high seasonal volume, technical issues, or other circumstances beyond our control. If you require your photos sooner, rush delivery options are available for an additional fee.

Film photos typically take 2-3 weeks to develop, scan, and edit, depending on current volume. Since I do all my own processing and scanning in-house, I have complete control over the process and can rush orders through if needed. Developing in-house also keeps film on the same delivery timeline as a standard digital gallery, rather than adding weeks of outside lab turnaround on top of it.

Yes, rescheduling is possible with advance notice. For standard sessions, a rescheduling fee of $25 may apply if rescheduled within 10 days of the original date. For weddings, a rescheduling fee of $300 may apply if rescheduled within 30 days of the original date. In the event of inclement weather or unforeseen events, rescheduling options will be discussed and accommodated to the best of both parties' abilities.

Yes. Rush delivery moves your gallery to the front of my editing queue. The timing available depends on the session and is shown with the add-ons when you book: 5 business days for mini, portrait, studio, graduation and engagement sessions, 3 business days for family sessions, 48 hours for events, and same-day for corporate work. Events can also add a same-day preview set of edited highlight images while the full gallery follows the standard timeline. Film development has its own 48-hour rush, quoted per order on the film development page. Rush options must be requested and agreed upon before the session. If you need a rush on a session type not listed here, just ask and I will quote it.

If the weather forecast shows a high probability of rain or severe weather conditions, we can discuss rescheduling options. I monitor the weather closely leading up to your session and will be in touch if concerns arise. In some cases, overcast weather can actually provide beautiful, even lighting for photos. If we need to reschedule due to weather, our rescheduling policy will apply.

Your final images will be delivered through a private online gallery where you can view, download, and share your photos. The gallery remains active for at least 2 years, and you can download high-resolution digital files directly from this platform. For physical products like albums or prints, separate delivery arrangements will be made.

Yes! You have two delivery options: 1) Receive your physical instant prints same-day in a beautiful album, or 2) Receive them later after they've been digitally scanned for archival purposes. Digital scanning of instant prints is available for an additional charge - see our film page for pricing details.

Yes, even a smaller day benefits from thoughtful timing. We will plan around the ceremony, portraits, travel time, light, and any family or guest combinations so the day still feels relaxed and intentional.

Video coverage can be discussed when it fits the project scope. If videography is part of your proposal, we will plan coverage, audio needs, delivery format, and timing separately from the photo gallery.

Video projects are delivered through a private online delivery experience with downloadable final files. The exact deliverables depend on the proposal, such as highlight films, ceremony edits, speeches, or event recap videos.
